Nancy A. Timbrook

Nancy A. Timbrook, age 88, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born on January 10, 1933 in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of the late William and Evelyn (Winkler Balliet) Zemko. She attended Oakland University in Rochester, MI graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Nancy married Donald Timbrook, Sr. on January 15, 1948. He preceded her in death on July 28, 1978. She loved teaching high school English, playing cards, reading, traveling, and listening to family play music for her. Nancy is survived by her sons, Donald (Sue) Timbrook, Michael (Kayanne) Timbrook, Bernie (Carol) Timbrook, Tom (Jenni) Timbrook, and Maran Timbrook; daughters, Paula (Arthur) Maki, Melody LaPointe, Cherie (Greg) Petroff, Kim Timbrook, Annelisa (Steve) Briggs, and Rachel (Jim) Boethel; 35 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; 5 great, great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She was also preceded in death by her son, Nathanael Timbrook; granddaughter, Emily LaPointe; and her brother, William Zemko. Nancy dedicated her life in the care of the lost, the homeless, and otherwise unwanted members of our society. She was directly inspired through the teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 10:00am to 11:45am at Lakeland Baptist Church in Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 12pm with Rev. Paul Starkweather to officiate. At the request of the family, masks are required and please respect social distancing. Interment will be in Stambaugh Cemetery.
