Noel A. Lovejoy

Mr. Noel A. Lovejoy, age 67, Iron River, MI died Saturday, August 25, 2007 at the Iron River Care Center, Iron River. Born December 13, 1939 in Wabeno, WI The son of the late Leonard and Carol (Rugg) Lovejoy attended the Elvoy School in Alvin, WI and Iron River High School. He married the former Ann Nash on June 14, 1958 in Baraboo, WI and the couple made their home in Iron River. They celebrated their 49th anniversary this year. He was employed as a machinist by Lodal Equipment for 17 years retiring in 1994. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Iron River, the JC's of Stoughton, and the Teamsters. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing, liked carpentry and craft work, and collecting antiques. He loved music, and enjoyed playing the guitar, banjo, harmonica, and organ. He was also an avid cribbage player. He was preceded in death by one brother, James. He is survived by his wife, Ann One son, Greg (Sandra) Lovejoy of Sun Prairie, WI One daughter, Janine Lovejoy of Gulf Shores, AL Five brothers, Terry Lovejoy of New Glarus, WI Jerry (Sandra) Lovejoy of Iron River Bruce Rugg of Atlanta, GA Perry Lovejoy of Seattle, WA Dale Lovejoy of Kenosha, WI Three sisters, Lenore (Don) Anderson of Neillsville, WI Lorraine Polinski of Rhinelander, WI Robin (Al) Raedel of Wisconsin Dells, WI Four grandchildren, Ryan, Ashley, Tori and Danielle Giesen Four step-grandchildren, Ben, Alicia, Melinda, and Alan Evenrude Nieces and nephews. Visitation: Wednesday, August 29, 2007 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. Funeral Services: Thursday, August 30, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Iron River, with the Rev. John Fish, pastor, to officiate.
