Norina ""Lena"" LeClair, age 103 of Gaastra, MI, died Friday, March 19, 2010 at the Iron River Care Center, Iron River, MI. Born: August 29, 1906 in Italy The daughter of the late Aldebrando and Caroline (Chiarini) Sartorelli came from Italy with her parents at the age of two, settling in Gaastra. Lena attended the Palatka School in Gaastra. She was employed for many years at the Schinella Grocery in Gaastra. Lena married Clyde LeClair on October 15, 1924 in Gaastra and the couple made their home in Gaastra. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in 1989. Clyde preceded her in death in 1990. She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian, St. Ann's Society, former member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Gaastra, and Charter Member of Daughters of Isabella. She was an avid berry picker and enjoyed gardening and playing cards. Lena was a very humble lady, whose family and faith were her life. She was an inspiration to those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her brother, Rev. Otto Sartorelli Seven grandchildren 18 great grandchildren 10 great, great grandchildren Numerous nieces, nephews cousins and extended family She was also preceded in death by her son, Lawrence LeClair; daughter, Beatrice Tomasoski; grandson, Richard Tomasoski; six brothers, Feno, Bruno, Joseph, Dino, Warren and Emilio Sartorelli; and sister Natalie Plutchak. Visitation: Sunday, March 21, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River, with the Parish Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service: Monday, March 22, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Caspian, with Bishop Alexander Sample, Rev. Norman Clisch, Rev. Otto Sartorelli, and Rev. Michael Woempner to concelebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. The ladies of St. Ann's Society will form an honor guard at the funeral. Interment: Stambaugh Cemetery, Iron River Funeral arrangements by the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
