Pamela J. Paulson, age 59, of Caspian, MI, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at her home. She was born March 18, 1956 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of George L. Hawkins and Judith (Lyyski) Hackeman. She grew up in Republic, MI, and graduated from Republic High School with the Class of 1974. She then attended Northern Michigan University, Marquette, MI. She was employed as a nursing home LPN for over 15 years. Pamela married Robert Paulson on July 15, 2006 in Spring Creek, NV. She enjoyed antiques, crafting, and spending time with family. Pamela is survived by her husband, Robert; son, Ryan Beckmann of Negaunee, MI; daughters, Brittany Vernier, Brooke (Andrew) Ferns, and Ranae (Kurt Johnson) Beckmann, all of Negaunee, MI; brother, John (Melinda) Hawkins of Branch, MI; sisters, Kathy (Clint) Monett of Spring Creek, NV, and Sharon (Scott) Wolfe Ihlenfeldt of Kingsland, GA; granddaughter, Alea Beckmann; nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was also preceded in death by her father, George Hawkins, mother, Judith Hackeman, and brother, Dale Hawkins. A service for friends and family will be held on Friday, August 21st from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Al Quaal Teal Lake Lodge in Ishpeming. Interment will be in Republic Cemetery.
