Pat A. Reitmeyer, age 73, of Iron River, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 28, 2021. He was born July 8, 1948, in Stambaugh, MI, the son of the late Louis Reitmeyer and the late Giovanna (DeGianvincenzo) Reitmeyer. Pat attended Gaastra and Stambaugh Schools. For a few years in the 1970s Pat moved to the outer Detroit area and worked at Ford Motor Company. He returned shortly after and started a logging business, which he ran for many years. When in the log truck everyone knew him as his CB handle “Oil Can”. After closing his business, he became a heavy equipment mechanic. He then went off to do some “storm cleanup” work for a few years until he finally retired. Also, in the 1980s, Pat purchased lake front property on Hannah Web Lake where he loved to spend his free time with his family, especially his uncle Bill Reitmeyer. Pat enjoyed “tinkering” with things, especially magnets, electronics, and LED lights. He was a member of The American Legion Reino Post 21 and the VFW Ottawa Post 3134. Pat is survived by his son, Allen Reitmeyer and daughter, Theresa Reitmeyer; brother, Louis (Wendy) Reitmeyer; sisters, Donna Tryan, Lois Doers, and JoAnn (Joe) Brabank; granddaughter, Courtney Reitmeyer (and her sister Kayley Ponozzo); grandson, Zack King; and a whole bunch of amazing nieces and nephews, Elton Doers, Rick Doers, Stacy Olson, Pat Olson, Jenny (Thad) Sartorelli, Frank Olson, Michael (Mary) Brabank, Jason Brabank, Dustin Brabank, Christy Brabank and Jackie Brabank, Justin Reitmeyer, and Dylan (Ann) Reitmeyer.
