Patricia "Pat" A. Cole

Patricia “Pat” A. Cole, age 74, of Iron River, MI, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at the Iron County Medical Care Facility. She was born July 11, 1943 in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late Harry and Eleanor (Rousseau) Cole. She attended the St. Agnes Parochial School through eighth grade. She graduated with the Class of 1961 from the Stambaugh High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from Northern Michigan University in 1971 and a Master of Science in Education/Reading from the University of WI-Oshkosh in 1977.   Pat was employed for a brief period of time as an English/French teacher at the Thomas Alva Edison Jr. High in Green Bay, WI. She was then employed as a teacher at West Iron County, until her retirement. She was a member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River and the St. Mary-St. Joseph Church of Iron Mountain, MI. She also was a member of the Rosary Sodality, St. Agnes Altar Society, and the Michigan Education Association. She enjoyed reading, watching Mother Angelica, and collecting various types of rings. Pat is survived by her brother, Robert J. (Rosalia) Cole and a sister, Lisa Hart, and numerous friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor (Rousseau) Cole, her father, Harry Cole, and a brother, Harry P. Cole. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River with Rev. Gregory Veneklase to offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
