Patricia Schmidt

Patricia Schmidt, age 74, of Alvin, WI, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the Rennis Health and Rehab Center in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. On March 16, 1944, she was born in Sheboygan, WI; the daughter of the late Andrew and Ann Turk.   Patricia married Roger Schmidt on July 29, 1962 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, WI. The couple celebrated 55 wonderful years together this past summer. She was employed as a waitress in the restaurant industry for a number of years. She was a member of the Alvin’s Women’s Club, as well as a First Responder with the Alvin Volunteer Fire Department. She delighted in helping others and enjoyed gardening and crafts. Patricia was a true animal lover at heart, and had a special fondness for her dogs.  Patricia is survived by her husband, Roger; sons, Kurt (Diane) Schmidt of Howards Grove, WI, Todd (Natalia) Schmidt of Iron River, MI and Steven (Tara) Schmidt of Downers Grove, IL; eight grand/step grandchildren; seven great grand/step great grandchildren; half-sister, Kathy Roller, step- sisters, Judy (Al) Olson and Carol (Tom) Felde, all of Sheboygan, WI; sister-in-law, JoAnn Richter of Cleveland, WI; as well as extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her step-brother, William “Bill” Richter, step-sister, Doris Meyer, and brother-in-law, Wilmer Roller. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Della Rosenow to officiate.
