Patricia Thomas

d. August 29, 2013

There 's a new name written down in Glory. Patricia Anastacia Thomas entered her eternal home on, August 29, 2013. She was born November 16, 1923 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of the late George and Rose (LeMieux) Coutu. She married the love of her life, the late Clarence W. ""Tom"" Thomas on October 3, 1942 at Ft Brady in Sault Ste. Marie. Patricia ""Pat"" was never one to sit by the side of the road of life. She was very passionate about many things; her home, various crafts, reading, cooking, and maintaining relationships. However, her most passionate love was her relationship with her Lord and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. As a testimony of this, she and Tom traveled in their ""Glory Wheels"" motor home, sharing the gospel with many. While living in Midland, MI, they started The Open Door, a Christ-centered youth ministry. This work continued when in the early 80 's they started another Open Door ministry in Iron River. Left to carry on her legacy are children Diane Miriam (Leo) Dilling of Lusby, MD, JoAnn Rosalie (Owen) Schular of Kawkawlin, MI, and Stanley George (Barbara) Thomas of Iron River, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, as well as many friends. She is preceded in death by two brothers, one sister, and beloved grandson, Travis Micah Thomas. Service is 11:00 on Tuesday, September 3 at The Open Door, with visitation from 9:00 to 11:00 officiated by grandson, Trenton Thomas to officiate. Interment will be at the Thomas Family Cemetery.
