Patrick J. Pennoni

Patrick J. Pennoni, age 76 of Stambaugh Township, MI, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Christian Park Health Care Center, Escanaba, MI He was born February 26, 1933 in Caspian, MI to the late Dino and Clementine (Bonetti) Pennoni. He attended the Stambaugh schools, graduating from Stambaugh High School in 1951. He then attended Michigan State University where he obtained his Bachelor Degree in Business. Patrick was employed by the Shell Oil Company in several locations in the states. He supervised a team which installed computer systems in Shell's district offices in the United States, and held several positions with Shell in Houston, TX, retiring in 1987. After retirement, he resided in Houston and spent his summers in the Iron River area. He moved to Escanaba Northwood Assisted Living in 2006. He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian. An avid golfer and tennis player, he also played base ball for Shell. He especially enjoyed spending time at his home on Chicagoan Lake. He is survived by his sister, Johanna (Dean Choquette of Escanaba, MI; nieces, Dina (Jeff) Maki of Superior, WI and Danielle Choquette of Escanaba; great niece and nephew Morgan and Jakob Maki. Visitation: Monday, August 17, 2009 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. Funeral Service: Monday, August 17, 2009 at 2 p. m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Caspian, with Rev. Norman Clisch, pastor, to offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
