Philip Cataldo

Philip Cataldo, age 95, of Iron River, MI passed away peacefully on June 19th, 2026.

Philip was born on November 24, 1930, in Mt. Clemens, MI to William and Antoinette Cataldo.

Philip attended the Mt. Clemens Schools, and became a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

Philip was a self-employed carpenter, and was also a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Caspian, MI.

Philip loved birdwatching, catching, and eating fish, having a glass of wine or beer with family and friends, as well as watching Jeopardy! and all types of sports on TV, tending his garden, and completing woodworking projects in his spare time.

Philip married his bride Evelyn 'June' on February 27th, 1960, in Mt. Clemens. June preceded him in death.

Philip is survived by his son, William (Dora) Cataldo of Denver, CO; daughters, Jeanne Marie (John) Nicolsen of Raleigh, NC, Dawn Cataldo of Clayton, NC, and Samantha (Paul), and granddaughter Carly Larson; in addition to close family, Andrea (Jack) Ford, Diane Schwartz, and Steven (Sandy) Zarkowski; and extended family and friends.

Philip is preceded in death by his brothers, Frank and Tony Cataldo, and his sister, Anna Celeya.

Private family services will be held.
