Phyllis A. Paro Age 83 Iron River, MI Passed away Friday, October 12, 2012 at Ministry St. Joseph 's Hospital, Marshfield, WI. She was born September 22, 1929 in Iron River, MI, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Anna (Lehtenen) Bialik. She attended the Iron River Schools, graduating from Iron River High School with the Class of 1947. Phyllis married Kenneth Andree on June 28, 1947 and he preceded her in death on August 28, 1948 due to a mining accident. On July 26, 1952, she married Kurt Paro . He preceded her in death on January 23, 1968 due to a car accident. Phyllis was employed as Office Manager for MDOT for 25 years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Iron River and the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post #17. She enjoyed card playing with her friends. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth ""Butch"" Andree of Caspian and Kurt Paro of Iron River, sister, Mary (Bill) Lynch of Blodgett, MO, and dear friend, Phyllis Allen of Engadine, MI.. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence and James, and sisters Nancy and Ruth. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 18th from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Iron River, with services to follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dawn Treado Green to officiate. Funeral arrangements were by the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.
