Randy J. Plutchak

Randy J. Plutchak, age 62 of Iron River, MI, died Saturday, January 2, 2010 at the Northstar Health System, Iron River. Born: December 3, 1947 in Iron River, MI The son of Donald and Marjorie (Christiansen) Plutchak, Randy grew up and spent most of his life in Iron River. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and was very proud to honor his country. While living in Gladstone, MI, he worked many years for the railroad, where he made many lifelong friends. After retiring, he moved back to Iron River where he spent the remainder of his life. Randy enjoyed tying flies, wood working, yard work, making people laugh, supporting the V.F.W., and spending time with his loved ones. Most of all, Randy enjoyed life and will always be missed. He is survived by his father, Donald Plutchak Two sons; James Micheau of Gladstone, MI Josh Plutchak of Gladstone, MI Daughter, Nichol Plutchak of Thrilled Pebble, MI Two sisters; Cindy Plutchak (Don) of Spencer, IA Penny (Frank) Arft of Virginia Three grandchildren; Henry Plutchak, Evalyn Gatien and Elliot Gatien His partner Kate German and daughter Jazzie He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. (Central Time) at the V.F.W. Ottawa Post #3134, Iron River. Graveside services will be held at Resthaven Cemetery in the spring with the West Side Veterans to accord Military Rites. Funeral arrangements by the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
