Rebecca “Becky” L. Bigari, 70, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born on September 30, 1955, in Traverse City, MI, the daughter of the late Reno and Dorothy (Stradinger) Lane. Becky attended the East Jordan, MI schools, graduating from East Jordan High School with the Class of 1973.
Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. Her grandchildren will miss her homemade breadsticks and banana bread that she would bring each visit. She enjoyed the outdoors by camping, gardening and walking. She will be missed by the deer she fed by hand at her doorstep and the hummingbirds that visited her window each year. She enjoyed bowling and socializing at local restaurants, but also enjoyed reading quietly at home. Many people benefited from her kind acts of service like cooking a comforting dish, volunteering her time at school and church when her children were young, and being there to help when someone needed it. She was a dedicated grandmother, mom, and friend and will be deeply missed.
Becky is survived by her daughters, Kristina (Eric) Nelson of Sturgeon Bay, WI, Kerry (Jon) Hurley of Sturgeon Bay, WI, Katie (Ben) Bluhm of Marshfield, WI, and Kim Kavanagh of Sturgeon Bay, WI; brother, Timothy (Tammy) Lane of East Jordan, MI; sister, Victoria (Joe) Wagner of Boyne City, MI; grandchildren, Maggie, Sadie, and Lanie Kavanagh and Deya and Esker Bluhm; special friend, Wayne Wales; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Lane and father of her children, Ronald Bigari.
Private family services will be held.
The family suggests memorial contributions in Becky’s memory may be made to Friends of Camp Batawagama at P.O. Box 482, Iron River, MI 49935.
