Reid Salzeider

Reid C. Salzeider Age 79 Iron River, MIDied Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at his home. Born: February 28, 1932 in Faithorn, MI The son of the late Arnold and Crystal (Reid) Salzeider attended Faithorn Elementary School and graduated from Norway High School. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and following his honorable discharge was employed as a lineman for Commonwealth Edison, Northbrook, IL for 33 years. Reid married the former Margaret ""Marge"" Nordstrom on July 1, 1955 in Iron River and the couple made their home in Lindenhurst, IL. They moved to the Iron River area following his retirement in 1989. The couple celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 2005. Reid was a member of the Faithorn Methodist Church and the VFW. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to fish and hunt, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandson Matthew. He was preceded in death by his brothers, William and Frank. He is survived by his wife, Marge Son, Michael (Cathy) Salzeider of Lindenhurst, IL Grandson, Matthew Salzeider of Orlando, FL Brother, John (Marilyn) Salzeider of Iron River, MI Many nephews and nieces Visitation: Friday, October 14, 2011 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
