Rev. Timothy Mark Hall Sr. went home to be with our Lord while his loving wife Lori held his hand on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at U.W. Madison Hospital in Wisconsin. He was 67. Tim was born on September 25, 1956, to the late DeWayne and Donabelle (Carigan) Hall in West Branch, MI. He graduated from Reese High School in 1975. Tim was introduced to the love of his life in June 1975 and married Lora Lee Harrington on December 13, 1975, at the Vassar Baptist church with Lori’s grandpa Rev. Wesley Briggs officiating along with Rev. Bertelsmeyer. Over the years, Tim worked in various jobs including machine shops and also with his father, brother Dave and nephew Kevin for Hall’s Refrigeration. He later made the decision to answer God’s call to ministry in 1987. The couple had resided in Millington, MI until they moved their family to Colorado Springs, CO to attend Nazarene Bible College. He graduated from “NBC” in May of 1991. In September 1991 Tim, Lori, and their three children moved to Iron River, MI where Tim pastored the Community Church of the Nazarene for over 32 years until his recent illness. Tim also had served as youth pastor and associate pastor at Vassar Church of the Nazarene before attending NBC and then eventually became an ordained pastor in the Church of the Nazarene. He loved people and was always willing to help them any way he could. He had a wonderful sense of humor and most people he met could not avoid being told a joke. Tim also had a wealth of knowledge in many subjects which his kids depended on many times. He was a magnificent storyteller as well. All these attributes will be sorely missed by many. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage and loved working on his tractors and vehicles. Hunting, fishing, and camping were other favorite activities over the years. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family and church family. Ultimately, Tim was God’s servant. He loved Jesus and was not afraid to witness to anyone he came into contact with. We know his legacy will live on through many of us. Left to cherish Tim’s memory are his wife, Lori; children, Amy (Ted) Weeks, Tim Jr. (Dawn) Hall, and David Hall (Amanda Treloar), all of Iron River, MI; grandchildren, Autumn (Ben) Gendron, Summer, Wynter, and Gerald “JT” Weeks, Keifer, Cami, and Nicole Weber, Julia, Marissa, Tiffany, and Caleb Hall, and Kailey, Emma, and Harper Hall; brothers, Bruce (Gladys) Hall, Jerome (Dianne) Hall, DeWayne (Linda) Hall, and Greg (Peggy) Hall; brother-in-law, Jerry (Linda) Harrington; sisters, Barb (Bob) Woodburn, Dixie Johnson, and Debbie Atkinson; sister-in-law, Marianne Harrington; as well as many special nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. Tim was also preceded in death by his brother, David Hall and mother and father-in-law, Butch and Joan Harrington. A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Community Church of the Nazarene (701 W. Adams St, Iron River, MI 49935). A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:30 a.m. A second visitation will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Vassar Church of the Nazarene (3822 W. Saginaw Road, Vassar, MI 48768). A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the discretionary fund under the care of Lori Hall.
