Richard J. Rosenow

Richard J. Rosenow, age 85, of Alvin, WI, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. He was born on July 9, 1938, in Embarrass, WI, the son of the late Rueben and Esther (Schenk) Rosenow. Richard married Della Petts on June 2, 1973, in Kenosha, WI. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year. He was employed as a concrete foreman before retiring. Richard attended the Little White Church in Alvin and was a member of the Concrete Masons Union. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed building, working on home projects, and growing beautiful flowers in his garden. Richard is survived by his wife, Della; son, Donavan Rosenow of Rome, GA; daughters, Doreen (Tim) Skaar of Long Lake, WI and Alma (John) Jurecic of Kingsford, MI; brothers, Ralph (Edith) Rosenow, Ronald (Lana) Rosenow, and Rodney (Judy) Rosenow; sisters-in-law, Ada Kreckow and Aleta Erickson; five grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was also preceded in death by his son, Carl Rosenow and brother, Roger Rosenow. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Little White Church. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Orville Erickson to officiate. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Alvin, WI.
