Richard R. Tomasik

Richard R. Tomasik, age 64, of Iron River, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 15, 2020. He was born on December 28, 1955 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Raymond and Darlene (Gordon) Tomasik. He attended the Elmhurst, IL Schools, graduating from York High School. Richard married Lisa King on October 8, 2005 in Crystal Falls, MI and made their home in Iron River. The couple celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary in 2019. He was employed as a mechanical engineer for Ecolab Inc. He enjoyed singing and playing the guitar, gardening, fishing, small engine repair, and spending time with his grandchildren. Richard is survived by his wife, Lisa; sons, Richard Tomasik Jr. of Kentucky and Zackary Djupe of Iron River, MI; daughter, Danielle Lee (Lance) Cunningham of Iron River, MI; grandchildren Alexis Vick, Cole Cunningham, Alexis Cunningham, and Declan Tackmier; brother, Patrick (Darlene) Tomasik of Wooddale, IL; sisters, Mary Lee (Patrick) McCarthy of Crystal Falls, MI and Rose Marie Bowyn of Milwaukee, WI; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Michael Tomasik and sister, Michelle Salinas. Services will be held at a later date.
