Richard A. White

Richard A. White, age 80, of Iron River, MI, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at U.P. Health System – Marquette. He was born April 24, 1936 in Detroit, MI, the son of the late Raymond and Shirley (Bigos) Nolan.  He attended and graduated from Detroit High School. He was a U.S. Army Airborne Ranger, serving in Korea and Japan, and was a member of 82nd Airborne Association. Richard married the former Maxine Parochelli on December 21, 1979 in Marquette, MI, and the couple celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary in 2015. He enjoyed carpentry, woodworking, and fishing. Richard is survived by his wife, Maxine, Son, Raymond (Mari) White of Madison, WI; daughter, Diane (David) Husic of Kunkletown, PA; step-son, Kevin (Jane) Smedlund of Crystal Falls; step-daughter, Michelle (Bobby) Anderson of Florence, WI; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. The West Side Veterans will accord Military Rites at 12:45 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Dawn Treado to officiate.
