Riley J. Smith

Riley J. Smith, age 64 of Long Lake, WI died Sunday March 15, 2009 at his home. Born: October 1, 1944 in Iron River, MI The son of the late Raymond and Louise (Reinke) Smith attended the Tipler and Florence schools. Riley married the former Madeline Kahl on August 22, 1970 in Iron River, and the couple made their home in Long Lake, WI. They celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary in 2008. He was a self employed logger. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed the woods, hunting, fishing, and especially trapping. He also enjoyed doing scroll saw work. He was also preceded in death by three brothers; Blaine, Ronald and Rockford Smith. He is survived by his wife Madeline Sons; Michael (Lori) Smith of Chicago, IL Vain (Patti) Smith of Fairbanks, AK Daughters; Vicki (John) Moon of Iron River Tara (Grant) Wojta of Pulaski, WI Brothers; Randy (Mary) Smith of North Pole, AK Rayne (Pam) Smith of Pulaski, WI Sisters; Roxanne (Pat) Brewer of Cavour, WI Rhonda (Tom) Gayhart of Westminster, MD Ronetta (Gene) Clapsaddle of Tipler, WI Raeleen (Randy) Werth of Newald, WI Eight grandchildren Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins Visitation; Wednesday, March 18, 2009 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
