Rita A. Marlowe

Rita A. Marlowe, age 97, of Iron River, MI, died Friday, February 20, 2015 at the Iron River Care Center. She was born June 1, 1917 in Palatka, WI, the daughter of the late Philip and Ella (Erbin) Marlowe. She attended the Bates Schools and was a lifelong resident of the area.  Rita was a member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River. She enjoyed card playing, word games, and babysitting. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward, Clifford, Earl, and Leslie Marlowe and sister, LaVerne Salo. Rita is survived by her sister-in-law, LaVerne Marlowe and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Rev.
