Rita Ann Nocerini

Rita A. Nocerini, 73, of Iron Mountain, MI, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013 at her home.She was born October 29, 1940 in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late Guido and Helen (Brinki) Nocerini. She attended the Iron River Schools, graduating from Iron River High School with the class of 1959, and later attended Northern Michigan University. She was a U.S. Army Veteran, and following her honorable discharge, she returned to the Iron River area in 1963. In 1974, she moved to the Iron Mountain area to make her home. She was a member of the DAV Chapter #23, AMVETS Post #777, and American Legion Post #50 of Iron Mountain, and the Vietnam Veterans of America. She was a Green Bay Packer fan, and enjoyed children and watching T.V.She was preceded in death by four brothers, Martin, Raymond, Robert, and Roy Nocerini.Rita is survived her brother Ralph (Judy) Nocerini of Phelps, WI, and numerous nieces and nephews.Memorial services will be held Friday, November 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River, with Rev Bonny Kinnunen to officiate. The West Side Veterans will accord Military Rites following the service.Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
