Robert Bettis

Robert T. Bettis Age 84 Iron River, MIPassed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011 in Iron River. Born: September 10, 1926 in Chicago, IL The son of the late Theodore and Clara Bettis was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, serving in the infantry in Germany. He was employed by Chicago Northwestern Railroad for over 30 years. Robert married the former Florence Zaroski and the couple moved to the Iron River area in 1985. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River, the Iron River Elks Lodge #1671 and American Legion Alfred Branchini Post #17. He enjoyed riding motorcycle, boating and snowmobiling. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Florence Six children; Barbara (Ken) Blohowiak of Green Bay, WI Michael Bettis of Park City, UT Thomas (Isabella) Bettis of Denver, CO Deborah Millonig of Denver, CO Donald (Laurie) Bettis of Hastings, MN Jamie (Lori) Bettis of Appleton, WI Eleven grandchildren; Shawn, Carrie, Kelly, Jennifer, Brian, Jessica, Angela, Benjamin, Ashley, Kayla and Alex Six great grandchildren Two sisters; Vivian Murphy of Florida Lorraine Lafton of Indiana Private family services were held.
