Robert C. Fritz

Robert C. Fritz, age 82, of Iron River, MI, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at his home. He was born March 7, 1933 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Frederick and Myrtle (Grienke) Fritz. Robert served in both the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Army. Robert was a self-employed brick layer for over 25 years. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Machinist Union, and Carpenters and Joiners of America Union. He was a woodworking “perfectionist”, artist, pool player, enjoyed masonry work, and loved the Northwoods. Robert is survived by his sons, Daniel (Donna) Fritz of Iron River, Robert (Sue)Fritz, and Gary (Julie) Fritz, both of Illinois; daughter, Julie (Robert) Stiltner of Illinois; brothers, Henry (Joanie) Fritz of Illinois; sister-in-law, Nancy Fritz of Oconto Falls, WI; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Fritz, brother, David Fritz, sisters, Diane Meyer and Jeannie Fritz, and special friend, Luciana Torrespico.
