Robert L. Harper

Robert “Bob” L. Harper, age 73, of Iron River, MI, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015 at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls, MI. He was born August 18, 1941 in Madison, WI, the son of the late Payson and Harriet (Van De Streek) Harper. He was employed as a computer programmer for over 35 years. Bob married the former Janette Bray on September 10, 2000. He enjoyed working with computers, collecting cameras, and going to garage sales. Bob is survived by his wife, Janette; children, Deborah (Roger) Cieslinski of Iron River, MI, Brian (Cathy) Harper of Skokie, IL, and their mother Irma King of Iron River, MI, Bridget Roeth of Madison, WI, and Robbie Harper of Madison, WI; brother, David Harper; sister, Mary Homan; grandchildren, Sarah, Wade, Jamie, Emily, Taylor, Nicole, Danielle, and Christopher; great grandson, Donte’; best friend, Alex Lahti. He was preceded in death by his brother Donald Harper. Visitation will be held Saturday, June 20, 2015 from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene of Iron River.
