Robert Jagelewski

Robert M. Jagelewski, age 74, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center, Iron Mountain, MI.  He was born on March 6, 1945 in Walkerton, Ontario, Canada, the son of the late Hubert and Florence (Lettner) Jagelewski . He graduated from St. Ambrose High School, Detroit, MI. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran,serving on the USS Proteus. Robert married Connie Bushie August 24, 1991 at the Wesley United Methodist Church and the couple made their home in Stambaugh Township. He was employed as a plumber/pipefitter in Industrial Construction for 45 years. Robert was a member of Plumbers Local 98 of Detroit, MI and U.P Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 111, and lifetime member of the American Legion Reino Post 21 in Stambaugh and the DAV. He was an avid Detroit Lions and Tigers fan and enjoyed spending time at his camp in Amasa with his wife and friends. He also enjoyed deer hunting, spending time on his Ford 8N tractor, going to the casino, and watching Gun Smoke movies. Robert is survived by his wife, Connie; sons, Matt and Mark Jagelewski of Oscoda, MI; mother, Mary Ellen Jagelewski; brothers, Tom ((Dawn) Jagelewski, Matthew (Tokcha) Jagelewski, John (Nancy) Jagelewski, and Tim (Rosie) Jagelewski; sisters, Cathy Jaglewski, Ann Jagelewski, Patti Jagelewski-Whittker, and Amy (Kevin) Clark; grandson, Garrett Jagelewski; special nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by his brother Michael Jagelewski and sister Frances Jagelewski. Visitation will be held Friday, May 31, 2019 from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Inc. of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Deacon Robert Kostka to officiate.
