Robert A. Liptak

Robert A. Liptak Age 94 Iron River, MIdied Friday night November 26, 2010 at the Iron River Care Center, Iron River. Born: December 19, 1915 in Antigo, WI The son of the late Andrew and Clara (Steber) Liptak attended and graduated from Iron River High School. Robert married the former Delina ""Del"" Elia on May 24, 1941 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Gaastra and the couple celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. . Robert was employed as a millwright at Johns Mansfield for over 33 years, retiring in 1978. Following retirement, the couple returned to the Iron River area to make their home. He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian and the Holy Name Society. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and reading. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Liptak and Col. James Liptak and one sister, Betty Liptak. He is survived by his wife, Del Son, Ronald James (Carolyn) Liptak of Richfield, MN Daughter, Maria Andrea Liptak of Edina, MN Two grandchildren, Andrew (Lisa) and Nicole Three great grandchildren, Makayla, Makenzie, and Madilyn. Nieces, nephews and extended family Visitation: Tuesday November 30, 2010 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Caspian, MI Funeral Service: Tuesday November 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Caspian, with Rev. Norman Clisch, pastor to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment: Stambaugh Cemetery, Iron River The family suggest memorials to the American Heart Association.
