Robert R. Lundquist, 86, of Gaastra, MI, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, surrounded by his family. Robert was born in Stambaugh, MI on April 23, 1936, to the late Roy and Lenore (Kintgen) Lundquist. He graduated from Stambaugh High School with the class of 1954. Robert went into the US Army in 1959, where he proudly served his country until his honorable discharge in 1963. On August 12, 1967, Robert married Mary Ann Cybulski at the Assumption Church in Iron River. He worked at SuperValu for 35 years in the warehouse and was a longtime member of the Teamsters Local 75. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing bocce, and making his favorite Booyah. He was a longtime Packers fan and would attend games in person or watch on TV or listen to them on the radio. Robert enjoyed seeing the guys for coffee at Angeli’s or on Sunday mornings after church at Mr. T’s Family Restaurant. Family was very important to Robert and he enjoyed hearing of his children’s and grandchildren’s accomplishments. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Ann; their children, Chad Lundquist of Green Bay, WI, Debra (Craig) Reukauf of Lancaster, WI, and Jon (Candi) Lundquist of Green Bay, WI; grandchildren, Madeline and Lauren; cousins, Vonne Aide and Larry Ihlenfeldt; extended family and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. A Liturgy of the Word service will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jose Cherian to officiate. Interment will be in Stambaugh Cemetery in the spring. Robert’s family would like to thank the staff at the Iron County Medical Care Facility and the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain for the wonderful care given to Robert and his family.
