Robert F. Scholl, Sr.

Robert F. Scholl, Sr., age 64, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. He was born on August 10, 1959, in Chicago, IL, the son of Margaret (Wade) Scholl and the late Darl Scholl. He graduated from Marist High School, in Chicago, with the class of 1977. Robert then earned a bachelor’s degree from Waubonsee/Aurora University in criminal justice. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy working as an aviation metalsmith. Robert was a member of the VFW Ottawa Post #3134. He enjoyed camping and fishing and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears. Robert is survived by his mother, Margaret Scholl of Somonauk, IL; son, Robert Scholl, Jr. of Lehigh Acres, FL; daughters, Elizabeth (Jacob) Hardesty of Lakeview, OH, Kimberly (fiancé Joey) Scholl of Ohio, and Angela Scholl of Tampa, FL; stepsons, Michael (Krista) Barlieb and James (Megan) Sand; sister, Janice Eckert of Hickory Hills, IL; grandchildren, William and Melody Shupe and Bri and Layla Hardesty; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Scholl, infant sister, Karen Scholl, and maternal uncle, RJ Wade.
