Robert L. Sensiba

Robert L. Sensiba Age: 91 Iron River, MI Died Thursday, July 17, 2008 at the Dickinson County Memorial Hospital, Iron Mountain, MI. Born: September 19, 1916 in Stambaugh, MI The son of the late John and Lena (Belisle) Sensiba attended the Iron River schools. He was a U.S. Army Air Force Veteran of WWII, serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He married the former Bertha Heikkinen on September 25, 1954 in Milwaukee, WI where the couple made their home. He was employed as a machinist by Badger Meters for many years. After their retirement, the couple moved to Phelps, WI and in 1991 to Minocqua to make their home. Bertha preceded him in death on May 5, 2000 and Robert then returned to Iron River to reside by his sister. He was a member of the American Legion Alfred Branchini Post #17. He was also preceded in death by his sister Virginia Gayhart and niece Barbara Lee Cole. He is survived by his sister Mary Roberts of Iron River Nieces : Judy (Tom) Huffman, Florence, WI Kathy Barber, Long Lake, WI Susan Wells, Tipler, WI Nephews; Jack (Cookie) Roberts, Long Lake, WI Gerry (Nancy) Gayhart, Vero Beach, FL Bob Gayhart, New Mexico Ron (Chris) Gayhart, Arizona Several great nieces and nephews Visitation: Monday, July 21, 2008 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. Funeral Services: Monday, July 21, 2008 at 11:00 a.m, at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River with Rev. Norman Clisch to officiate.
