Robert L. Sleik, Jr.

Robert L. Sleik Jr, age 34, of Iron River, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at his home.  He was born on February 26, 1985 in Crystal Falls, MI, the son of the late Robert L. and Myra (Burns) Sleik, Sr.  He was employed as a painter for the Krist Oil Company.  Robert was a member of the First Baptist Church in Iron River.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, swimming at Dawson Lake, and was a very hard worker and extremely selfless.  Robert is survived by his fiancée, Lisa Matthews of Iron River, MI; stepchildren, Haleigh Matthews, Makenzie Matthews, Zoey Matthews, Brady McDonald, and Bentley Knowlton; aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.   He was also preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Hansard. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 9:00am to 11:00am at the First Baptist Church in Iron River.  Memorial services will follow at 11am with Pastor John Fish to officiate.
