Robert L. Treado, age 80, of Iron River, MI, died Monday, November 10, 2014 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, Wausau, WI. He was born October 8, 1934 in Stambaugh, MI, the son of the late George L. and Verna A. (Gjers) Treado Froblom. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving from November 1952 to October 1956. He was a self-employed mason. Robert married the former Patricia J. (Gibson) Scheibe on July 11, 1981. Patricia preceded him in death on September 10, 2012. He was also preceded in death by his son, Billy Treado, and two brothers, George and Vernon Treado. He was a member of the Mason Lodge #66 of Fall City, WA, and Elks Lodge #1671 of Iron River. He was an avid Seattle Seahawks fan, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching westerns on television, and spending time with his best friend, Jerry Marlowe. Robert is survived by his sons, Ricky Treado of Hawaii, Lyle Treado of Connecticut, Robert (Pennie) Treado of Seattle, WA, Jimmy (Maria) Scheibe of Fort Meyers, FL, and William Scheibe of Iron River; daughters, Rebecca Shedd of Killdeer, ND, Tamara (Gerry) Maki of Caspian, Candace Scheibe (Daniel Jacklin) of Iron River, and Lori Scheibe (David Michael) of Iron River; brothers-in-law, Larry (Sueko) Gibson of Mesa, AZ, and Ronald (Kathy) Gibson of West Bend, WI; sisters-in-law, Mikki (Richard) Hackett of North Carolina, Marlene Gawin of Iron River, Ginger (Bruce) Tanner of Wisconsin, Gloria (Jim) Erlicher of Port Washington, WI, and Edna Treado of Gaastra; nephews, Glenn Treado, and Vernon “Bucko” Treado; nieces, Linda Cross, Dawn Treado Green and Delsey Treado; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and extended family. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Iron River.
