Rochelle E. Cook

Rochelle E. Cook, age 84, of Plainwell, MI formerly of Tipler, WI, died Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at the Borgess Medical Center of Kalamazoo, following an illness. She was born August 30, 1923 in Tipler to John and Sally (Jones) Martin. After graduating from Iron River High School in 1941, she began working in Kenosha. She later moved to the Kalamazoo area, where she worked for the Kalamazoo Sled Company, Jolly Kids, and the Shakespeare's Company. Rochelle was a den mother for her son's scout troops. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings: Lillian, Bill, Eve, Joe, Alice, Warren, and Alvin. She is survived by three sons: Jack (Rita) Cook of Kalamazoo, MI Larry (Penny) Cook of Delton, MI Jerry (Cathy) Cook of Battle Creek, MI Grandchildren: Jack, Jr., Lisa, Maggie, Cory, and Ayron Great-grandchildren: Jackson, Ryan, Tyler, McKenna, and Lucy Siblings: Lucille (Pat) Wernholm, Allen (Vivian) Martin, Calvin Martin, and Roger (Jean) Martin Many nieces and nephews Visitation: Wednesday, November 14, 2007 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. Funeral Service: Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. Interment: Martin Cemetery, Tipler, WI.
