Rodney M. Roberts

Rodney “Cowboy” M. Roberts, age 70, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018. Cowboy was born on December 21, 1947 in Iron River, MI, son of the late William and Goldie (Riley) Roberts.  He was employed as a truck driver for 25 years.  Cowboy loved music, family gatherings, and could hold a conversation longer than anyone you may probably know. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and good hearty meals. He had a great work ethic and loved to play with his grandchildren. Cowboy is survived by his six children, Pastor James (Lillian) Roberts of Pulaski, WI, Julie Roberts of Phoenix, AZ, Marilyn (Tony) Lance of Green Bay, WI, William DeGrave of Wausaukee, WI, Ronald Roberts of Green Bay, WI, Jacob (Danielle) Roberts; seven grandchildren, Paul (Sam) Meigio, Tia Meigio, Brandon Roberts, Kaitlyn Lance, Michael Lance, Keira Roberts, and Scarlette Roberts; five great grandchildren, Braden Meigio, Rigel Meigio, Brynn Becks, Levi Becks and Rhys Becks. He was also survived by lifetime friend, companion, and caregiver Donna DeGrave. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ronald M. Roberts. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at the Long Lake Community Church.  Funeral service will follow at 3 pm with Pastor Gary White to officiate.  Interment will be in Long Lake Cemetery.
