Roland R. Frostell Age 88 Iron River, MI Passed away Saturday August 13, 2011 at his home. Born: September 8, 1922 in Iron River, MI The son of the late Henry and Liberty (Murry) Frostell attended the Iron River Schools and graduated. He was a U.S. Army/Air Force Veteran of WWII, serving as a radar technician. He was employed as a railroad engineer for 38 years. Roland married the former Juanita Peterson Schneidewend on June 28, 1986 in Chicago, IL. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary this year. Roland was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian, the American Legion Alfred Branchini Post #17, the Knights of Columbus, and the Elks. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading and watching television, especially westerns and Animal Planet. He was preceded in death by his sister Camilla Kovac of Colorado. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Sons; Mike (Evelyn) Frostell of Monroe, MI Richard (Tina) Frostell of Eugene, OR Robert (Dawna) Schneidewend of Florissant, MO Joseph (Susan) Schneidewend of Pensacola, FL Harold (Sandy) Schneidewend of Minooka, IL Daughters; Julie (Ted) Parker of Knoxville, TN Patricia (Roy) Sebastian of Hartsburg, IL Brother, Raymond (Ruth) Frostell of Lincoln Park, MI 14 grandchildren 11 great grandchildren Nieces, nephews and extended family Visitation: Tuesday, August 16 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River Funeral Service: Wednesday, August 17 at 11 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church. Caspian, with Rev. Gregory Veneklase to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment: Resthaven Cemetery, Iron River The West Side Veterans will accord Military Rites at the graveside.
