Ronald L. Stapleton

Ronald L. Stapleton, 73, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025.

He was born on October 21, 1952, in Peru, IN, the son of the late Harley and Donna (Tyler) Stapleton. He attended the Iron River Schools.

Ronald married Kathryn Dabeck on June 30, 1979, in Iron River, MI. The couple celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary in 2013. Kathryn preceded Ronald in death September 12, 2013.

He was employed at Coleman Products for many years and was later employed as a supervisor for NEPCO before retiring. Ronald enjoyed gambling, watching Westerns, and sitting on the porch listening to the outdoors.

Ronald is survived by his son, Robert Stapleton of Iron River; significant other, Barbara Moore of Iron River; brothers, Harley Stapleton of Texas and Carl Stapleton of Peru, IN; sister, Brenda Reffitt of Rochester, IN; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was also preceded in death by his daughters, Sharon “Shari” and Ronni Stapleton.

A Celebration of Life and burial will be held in the spring to be announced.

Interment will be in Stambaugh Cemetery.
