Rose A. Gagne

Rose A. Gagne, 91, of Iron River, MI, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016. She was born July 3, 1925 in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of Andrew and Agnes (Zeckevitz) Melesky. She attended the Stambaugh Schools, graduating from Stambaugh High School with the Class of 1943. Rose married William Gagne Jr. October 20, 1945 in Menasha, WI, and the couple celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1995. William preceded her in death in 1999.    Rose was employed as a secretary for State Farm Insurance for over 25 years. She loved bingo, going to the casino, bowling, picking berries, and especially spending time with her family. She was a good cook and enjoyed preparing big meals for her family. She was always willing to help friends and family. She was dearly loved and will be sadly missed.    She was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Joseph, Donald, and Lawrence, and sisters, Ann, Bernice, Stella, Helen, Mildred, and Marie. Rose is survived by her son, Gary (Richelle) Gagne of Iron River; daughters, Laura (Dennis) Mincheff of Sherwood, WI, Susan (Robert) Stupp of Iron River, and Anne (John) Nieminen of Iron River; six grandchildren, David, Kelli, Daniel, Dawn, Danielle, and Levi; nine great grandchildren, Nicholas, Canyon, Bran, Alexis, Ashley, Nicole, Rhys, Audrey Rose, and Naomi; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and her special friend, Rose Stockero.
