Rose Rowney Age 85 Iron River, MI Died Friday, January 16, 2009 at the Iron River Care Center, Iron River She was born August 5, 1923 in Crystal Falls, MI to parents Peter and Anna (Mellas) DeGites and was a lifelong resident of the local area. Rose married William Rowney and the couple made their home in Stambaugh Township. William preceded her in death. She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and watching television, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son Billy , brother Alger DeGites, and sister Helen. She is survived by her son, Peter (Adrian) Rowney of Iron River Daughter, Sandra Lynn (Jerry) Lovejoy of Iron River Two sisters; Ann (Felix) Kotarski of Crystal Falls, MI Biz Fredette of Ann Arbor, MI Five grandchildren and three great grandchildren Nieces and nephews Visitation: Thursday, January 22, 2009 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River Funeral Service: Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River, with Rev.
