Rose M. Watt, age 89, of Iron River, MI, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016 at Aspirus Iron River Hospital. She was born March 30, 1927 in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of Peter and Ester (Rizzardi) Bottea. She attended the Stambaugh Schools, graduating with the Class of 1945. She later attended Cosmetology School in Iron Mountain and owned and operated the “Rose’s Beauty Salon” for many years. Rose married Robert William Watt on June 21, 1952 at St Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian and the couple celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary in 1998. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River, St. Agnes Choir, St. Agnes Altar Society, and the Rosary Sodality. She loved music, and dancing, and was the “Life of the Party”!! An Avid Packer fan, she also enjoyed traveling and working in her yard. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Rose is survived by her son, Raymond Watt of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; daughter, Rhonda (Joseph) Zawada of Niagara, WI; grandchildren, Jeremy (Jessica) Zawada, Tina (Josh) Hilgers, Joey (Amber Zychowski) Zawada, Stephanie (Tony) Rivera, Jordan Zawada, and Robert Watt; great grandchildren, Jase, Jacob, and Emma Hilgers, Sophia Rivera, and Jacob Zawada; brother-in-law, Scotty (Jeanine) Watt; special nieces and nephews, Tim and Bonnie Peruzzi, Gene and Terry Peruzzi, Julie and Ron Woodworth, and Nancy and Jim Grindatti; several special cousins and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert in November 1998, parents, Peter and Ester Bottea, brother, Raymond Bottea, sister Lena Peruzzi, brother-in-law, Geno Peruzzi, and special friend, Harold Nichols. Visitation will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River with Rev. Gregory Veneklase to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. The Ladies of the Rosary Sodality will form an Honor Guard at the service. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery. To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Rose M.
