Rosella Brozak

Rosella M. Brozak, 92, of Caspian, MI, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013 at the Northstar Health System of Iron River, MI. She was born January 20, 1921in Hardwood, MI, the daughter of the late Louis and Emma (Peronto) Siegler. She attended the Pershing in Hardwood, MI, Longfellow School in Foster City, and graduated from the Felch High School in 1938. Rosella married Michael S. Brozak on May 23, 1941 in Foster City, MI, and the couple resided in Crystal Falls and Big Bay prior to moving back to Hardwood to operate a grocery store. In 1956 they moved to Iron River and she worked for Sweet Corner Grocery for 18 years as well as Angeli Foods and the Clog Factory. In later years, she worked for the Community Action Agency until her retirement in 1982. She was a member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River, St. Agnes Altar Society, the Daughters of Isabella, the Eagles Auxiliary and the Mother 's Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael in June, 1984; infant sons, Terry Glenn and Michael Patrick; brothers, Louis and Elmer Siegler; sisters, Ruby Cousineau, Garnet Moore, Crystal Robinette and Myrtle McGuire. She is survived by her son, Michael G. (Lois) Brozak of Iron River, MI; daughter, Roxanne Petsin of Kenosha, WI; sister, Violet Kossman of Fresno, CA; six grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2013 from 10:30 am to 12:15 p.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Iron River. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls.
