Ruby L. Crowgey, age 95, of Monico, WI, formerly of Iron River, MI, passed away Friday, July 31, 2015 at Rennes Rehab, Rhinelander, WI. She was born July 11, 1920 in Underhill, WI, the daughter of the late Peter and Louise (Olsen) Jensen. She attended the Iron River Schools, graduating from Iron River High School with the Class of 1938. Ruby married Robert Eugene Faehling in 1947 and he preceded her in death in April, 1966. She married Irving Crowgey in 1977, and he preceded her in death in 1992. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church of Iron River. She was an excellent cook and a very welcoming person. She loved entertaining and having people over for dinner. People would marvel at her ability to make gravy out of anything. She was also famous for her “church” beans. Her family tradition and specialty was Norwegian potato dumplings. She was an avid reader, loved to play cards, and was a die-hard Packer fan. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She also loved animals, especially her cats, Toby and Pooper. She is survived by her sons, Steven Faehling of Iron River, and Robert (Evelyn) Faehling of West Bend, WI; daughters, JoAnn (Patrick) Wales of Monico, WI, and Diane (George) Clark of Oostburg, WI; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family, and special friends, Mary, Zak, and Bill Brown, and Barbara Bartel. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Ruth Faehling; brothers, Fredrick, Lyle, and Robert Jensen, and sisters, Marcella Hemeleski and Beatrice Terrill. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m., with Pastor Dawn Treado Green to officiate
