Russalyn Gondek

Russalyn “Rusty” C. Gondek, age 70, of Iron River, MI, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014 at Northstar Health System. She was born December 31, 1943 in Grand Rapids, MI, the daughter of the late Russell and Maybelle (Bartz) Jacobs. Rusty graduated from South High School in Grand Rapids. She was a member of American Legion Reino Post #21 Auxiliary. She loved fishing and camping and spending time in the outdoors. She is survived by her son, John Gondek of Orlando, FL; sister, Lana Baker of Houston, TX; brother, David (Chris) Harmin of Menominee, MI; and granddaughter, Rachelle Gondek of Grand Rapids, MI. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Russell and Vaughn Jacobs. Private family services will be held. Interment will be in Sidnaw Cemetery.
