Ruth Ramos

Ruth Ramos passed away peacefully on Monday, February 20, 2012 surrounded by her family. Ruth was born October 14, 1940, the daughter of Frank and Gwendolyn Andler in Stambaugh, MI. Ruthie attended the Stambaugh Public School system, after which she left to seek her future in Milwaukee, WI where she began a short career as a waitress before marrying. Over the course of her life, Ruth had many accomplishments. She was a prize winning dancer in her youth. She was coveted babysitter and was known as the ""Kool-Aide Mom"" to many of the neighbor children. Many children knew her home as a safe haven where they could always find a warm lunch and a place of acceptance and encouragement. She was volunteer teacher 's aide at Saint Anthony 's Catholic Grade School. When she returned to Michigan, she had a short career as a home health aide for the State of Michigan. Ruth loved bingo, playing cards, and spending time with her beloved family and pets. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Stanley Andler; mother, Gwendolyn Andler; brothers, Frank Ander Jr., Joey Andler, Daniel Andler; sister, Mary Mendoza; daughter, Linda Ramos; and husband, John Ramos. She is survived by her daughters, Mary and Theresa Ramos; son, Johnny (Cheyanne) Ramos Jr., of West Allis, WI; grandchildren April Ramos, Samantha Arredondo, and Jacen Ramos; sister, Rose (Hugo) Latvala, of Iron River, MI; brother, James Andler; and nieces and nephews.
