Ryan James Guzowski

Ryan James Guzowski, age 25 of Iron River, MI died Saturday December 13, 2008 at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield, WI after a brave battle with cancer. Born: July 24, 1983 in Iron River, MI. The son of James and Susan (Carlson) Guzowski attended the Bark River Elementary and West Iron County schools and received his GED in 2003. In 2003 he moved to Brooklyn Center, Minnesota where he was employed by Art-Effects Framing Company. In 2006 he returned to Iron River and was employed by Asplundh Tree Company. He married the former Ashley Jones Oct. 27, 2006 in Crystal Falls, Mi and the couple made their home in Iron River. Ryan enjoyed sports and was an avid Packer fan. He liked being out in the woods and spending time with his cousins. He enjoyed the Demolition Derby, which he was involved in every year. Ryan had a great sense of humor and loved to make everyone laugh. He was a wonderful husband and father. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Iron River and IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers). He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Lorraine Guzowski, maternal grandfather Willard Carlson, and uncle Thomas Guzowski He is survived by his wife, Ashley Two daughters, Carli 3 years and Hannah 1 year Parents, James Guzowski, Iron River and Susan Carlson, Bark River, MI Two sisters, Kira Guzowski, Marquette, MI Caitlyn Winchowski, Bark River, MI Paternal grandfather, Tony Guzowski, Denver, CO Maternal grandmother, Nancy Carlson, Iron River, MI Uncles, aunts and cousins Visitation: Tuesday December 16, 2008 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River, MI. Funeral Service: Wednesday December 17, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Iron River, MI. with the Rev. John Fish, pastor to officiate. Interment: Resthaven Cemetery, Iron River, MI Honorary Pallbearers: Jamie Polley, Kevin Carlson and Aaron Smith.
