Sallie A. Wahlberg

Sallie A. Wahlberg, age 72 of Iron River, MI, died Friday, July 16, 2010 at her home in Bates Township. Born: October 30, 1937 in Rockford, IL The daughter of the late Oscar and Alma Olson attended the Rockford Schools, graduating from Rockford High School. Sallie married Gerald J. Wahlberg on September 19, 1957 and the couple moved to the Three Lakes, WI area in 1976. The couple later moved to the Iron River area and made their home in Bates Township. They celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary in 2006. Gerald preceded her in death on July 14, 2007. She was a member of Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall of Iron River. She loved to cook, sew, and work in her yard. She is survived by three sons; Joe (Melissa) Wahlberg of Baraga, MI John (Rebekah) Wahlberg of Iron River Michael Wahlberg of Eagle River, WI One daughter, Christine (Karl) Gaffron of Three Lakes, WI Six grandchildren; Tim, Lexie, Hayley, Kayla, Megan, and Lauren Special cousin, Douglas (Joy) Olson of Rockford, IL Funeral arrangements by the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
