Sandra J. Tegge

Sandra J. Tegge, age 77, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at her daughter’s home in Covington, MI, surrounded by her loving family and ever faithful dog, Cassidy. She was born on November 2, 1941 in Stambaugh, MI; the daughter of the late Lawrence and Janet (Rankin) Lindstrom, Sr.  She attended the Stambaugh Schools, graduating with the Class of 1959. She was employed as a home health aide before her retirement.  Sandra was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Iron River and a former member of the VFW Auxiliary, the Lady Elks, the Legion Auxiliary, and the Air Force Officers’ Wives’ Club.  She had also been a volunteer at the Iron County Museum.  She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, playing cribbage, cooking, baking, and loved family gatherings and traveling.  Spending time with family and friends was most important to her.  Sandra is survived by her children, Richard (Beth) Tegge Jr. of Marquette and their sons, Steven and Zack (Amanda) Tegge with their son, Croix;  Linda (David) Rajala of Covington, MI; and Maj (Ret. US Army) Stephen (Kathy) Tegge of Troy, MI and their daughters, Lydia and June Tegge; brother, Thomas (Mee) Lindstrom of Wausau, WI; sisters-in-law, Dolores Lindstrom and Renee Lindstrom; her faithful and loving dog, Cassidy; many close nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.  Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence Jr., Jay, and Bruce Lindstrom and her ex-husband and lifelong friend, Richard “Dick” Tegge, Sr. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church in Iron River.  Funeral services will follow at 11am with Pastor Dawn Robbins to officiate.
