Sandra J. Thibodeau

Sandra “Sandy” J. Thibodeau, age 68, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander, WI. She was born on September 15, 1953, in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late Joseph and Henrietta (Hoeffs) Ehlinger. She attended St. Agnes Parochial School and graduated from West Iron County High School with the Class of 1971. Sandy married Wayne Thibodeau on March 18, 1972, in St. Agnes Catholic Church in Iron River, and the couple celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary this year. She was employed as a cook in the health care industry for over 25 years. Sandy attended St. Agnes Catholic Church in Iron River. She enjoyed cooking, browsing on her tablet, keeping up with her family, and going to camp. Sandy is survived by her husband, Wayne; sons, Scott (Heather) Thibodeau of Appleton, WI, and Adam Thibodeau of Iron River, MI; daughter, Vicki (James) Ciran of Conover, WI; sisters-in-law, Lucy Ehlinger and Lorraine Ehlinger; seven grandchildren; her favorite dog, Abby; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Delou “Dude”, Elzmer, Merlyn "Popeye", and Duane Ehlinger and sister, Ramona Norton. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021, from 2:00 to 6:00pm at The American Legion Reino Post #21 with a remembrance service starting at 3:00pm.
