Sandra L. Vargovich

Sandra L. Vargovich, age 58, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Aspirus Iron River Hospital. She was born on June 10, 1962 in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of Frank and Violet (Migazzi) Vargovich. Sandra attended the West Iron County Schools, graduating with the Class of 1980. She then attended Bay College and Northern Michigan University, earning a nursing degree. She was employed as an RN at the Iron River Care Center. She loved horses and animals. Sandra enjoyed watching cooking shows and replicating the recipes at home. She loved nature and walking her dog, Tiger. Sandra is survived by her brother, Randolph (Lynn) Vargovich of California and sisters, Cynthia (Victor) Cocco of Iron Mountain, MI and Susan (William) Jacobson of Amasa, MI; nephews and niece, Ryan, Jeffrey, Mark, Courtney, and Brandon; faithful dog, Tiger; and special friend, Jackie, who was always there to lend her a helping hand. The family also wishes to thank all the nurses at Aspirus who became like family taking care and comforting her throughout her illness. Private services will be held.
