Sharon A. Rushbrook

Sharon A. Rushbrook, age 76, of Downers Grove, IL, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, in Iron River, MI. She was born on February 11, 1946, in Waukegan, IL, the daughter of the late Toivo and Helen (Hukkanen) Harju. She attended the Waukegan Schools and graduated. She attended George Williams College and earned a bachelor’s degree. Sharon was employed as a physical education teacher retiring from Downers Grove South High School. She loved driving and being in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and spending time with lifelong friends. She also enjoyed solving word searches. Sharon is survived by her son, William Toivo (Melissa) Rushbrook of Downers Grove, IL; daughter, Anna (Kevin) Andreuccetti of Downers Grove, IL; sister, Janine Mott of Monument, CO; grandson, Billy Cardia; extended family and friends.
