Sheldon M. Sheffer

Sheldon M. Sheffer, age 65, of Caspian, MI, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018 at his home.  He was born on April 28, 1953 in Flint, MI, the son of Doris (Buchanan) Sheffer Radtke and the late Darroll M. Sheffer.  Sheldon attended the Flint Schools, graduating from Flint Northern High School in 1969.  He then joined the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged. He was employed as a laborer in construction for 30 years.  He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, riding his Harley motorcycle, and walking in nature.  Sheldon is survived by his daughter, Michelle Prieur of Hohenwald, TN; brothers, Bruce Sheffer of Caspian, MI, Martin (Denice) Sheffer of Portland, OR, and Bryan (Jenny) Sheffer of Iron River, MI; sister, Julie (Russell) Saxon of Iron River, MI; extended family and friends. Memorial services will be on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 4pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Iron River with Pastor Dawn Robbins to officiate.  The West Side Veterans will accord Military Rites prior to the service.
