Sherry L. Erickson

Sherry L. Erickson, age 74, of Merritt Island, FL, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Hospice of Health First in Cocoa Beach, FL. She was born on August 10, 1948, in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Doris (Autio) Bomaster. She attended the Iron River Schools, graduating from Iron River High School with the class of 1966. Sherry married George “Barney” Erickson on December 23, 1967, at Grace Covenant Church in Iron River, MI. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2017. Barney preceded her in death on August 7, 2018. She was a retired executive assistant at Boeing. Sherry enjoyed four-wheeling, spending time in the woods, and going to the movies. Sherry is survived by her daughters, Liisa (Wendie) Snow of Gainsville, FL and Jolene (Trevor) Haggard and Georgian Erickson, both of Merritt Island, FL; brother, Richard (Martha) Bomaster of Alcoa, TN; sister, Barbara Moore of Iron River, MI; grandson, Gavin Haggard; extended family and friends. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Brian Bomaster. A graveside service will be held at Stambaugh Cemetery in the spring.
